Invention Law: The Hughes Law Firm

Robert B. Hughes founded the firm when he moved up to Whatcom County from Bellevue in 1975.  Robert took advantage of the transactional nature of practicing intellectual property law to live in beautiful Whatcom County and maintain a practice. Robert still practices full time with almost 50 years of experience in practicing patent law.

Robert Hughes’ son Michael Hughes graduated with a mechanical engineering degree while playing collegiate football at the University of Idaho, and has been working at the firm since beginning there as an intern in 1993.  Dwayne Rogge recently joined the firm as a patent agent with an emphasis on physics, and passed the patent bar under the US Patent and Trademark Office of Enrollment standard.

Today, Invention Law has clients throughout the United States and in foreign countries, and have granted hundreds of patents for their clients.
